El Correo de Zamora, founded in 1897, is one of the hundred-year-old headers in Spain. In 1990, Prensa Ibérica, as a result of its expansion process, founded La Opinión de Zamora with the aim of giving a new air to the information of the city and the province. In 1993 the two newspapers merged, giving rise to La Opinión-El Correo de Zamora. It is the leader in dissemination and audience in Zamora, the newspaper has two editions, a general one for the province as a whole and a specific one for Benavente, the second largest population center after the capital of Zamora, and the Los Valles region.
With more than a decade of active presence in the social life of the city, Club La Opinión-El Correo regularly offers conferences and debates on hot topics. The Club has become an indispensable cultural reference in Zamora.
